Our commitment to the environment

We’re inspired by nature and want to take care of it; that’s why we are always thinking about the environment; from how we work in the studio, to our packaging, to our website.

Products To last

We make our work to last a life time and put a lot of effort in to sourcing the best quality materials. Most of our materials are natural, such as wood and slate. Glass is used and is a strong, durable material (which can also be recycled).

Our Packaging

We use corn starch bag to wrap our decorations. These bags are 100% biodegradable and compostable.

The backing card is printed on recycled and uncoated kraft card, and can be recycled again.

For our postal packaging, we try to use recyclable materials as much as possible. Sometimes we need to use plastics – which isn’t ideal; we encourage you to reuse the packaging or to dispose of it properly.

Wind Powered Website

The electricity that powers our website really blows (…in a good way). Our website is run on 100% renewable energy that comes from wind.

Renewable Powered Studio

The electric that powers the Byji studio comes from a mixture of renewable sources such as tidal and wind.

We’re all ears

Our commitment to protect the environment is ongoing and always improving. If you have an idea about how we can improve our commitments, let us know – we’ll love to hear from you.
